Who are we?

Author - E Kennedy

Who inspired this story?

Ryleigh Rainbow Fox was inspired by a mother and daughter during the start of the pandemic in 2020.  Like many other parents, bedtime stories can create funny exciting adventures, but this story was so very special.  Elena felt it was important to share this magical message around the world and write the story, bringing it to life!  Here, in South East London there are many foxes and woodland creatures, so together, they drew animals and rainbows and stuck them to windows, like all of our neighbours,  supporting our wonderful hardworking NHS workers. It was there and then the idea of a colourful rainbow tail on the fox seemed natural and what goes with a rainbow fox?  Bright ankle rainbow socks, of course!  What a silly question you ask!

The real Ryleigh, at age 7 at the time, designed the colourful fox logo along with all the characters and gave great detail and thought to our illustrator, Anju with each page design.

Being kind is a simple act that the world and children need, especially at school where we get the chance to support each other.  Being kind will help children understand that we are all unique and learn new things in different ways, and listening is a key tool.

Today, children are sometimes wiser than us boring adults! So please share the message of kindness, love, laughter and wellbeing wherever you are.

Elena's background is quite eclectic, starting as a singer/songwriter and dancer after completing her degree in Performing Arts at Northampton College. Then moved to an office environment building up her success as an HR professional in the City of London.  Leaving her role in 2021, she decided to take some well-deserved time off to concentrate on self-publishing her book and now shares her passion for inclusion with Grant Thornton as an HR Consultant, in particular awareness of neurodiversity.

Elena is an accredited facilitator with The Stress Management Society and her passion is to understand how our brains work. Currently studying Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health at Kings College, London, Elena believes that continuous learning is an important process of mental well-being. She is fully DBS vetted, enabling her to work with children, volunteer when she can with the local schools, and is available for book readings.
